This was mentioned in the Incredible Hulk Thread

Not bad money considering what you have available. Obviously you would need to use the DC alternative if you wanted something similar for batman.

Metal Gear Solid comic series is great, but that mainly just because of my admiration for Ashley Woods artwork and the game itself.

If your looking for more of a novel type, then try Graphic novels. Look into Watchmen or as mentioned the mini-series Dark Knight Returns.

I hear The Killing Joke one-shot is recommended reading especially if your're about to see or seen TDK.

    Re: The Dark Knight

Im gonna pick up the watchmen because I have heard its supposed to eb the best graphic novel ever, Will get the Killing Joke as well dark knight returns.

    What Arkham asylum like?

As I mentioned in the hulk thread i`ve been reading the first hulk comics and its a bit too cringe-worthy writing so i want stuff thats a lot more up to date.

What are the Sin city novels like?

    No 1 on imdb!

It's just a very good Bond film in my opinion, but no way is this the best film ever made by a long shot!

...its good. Not great, not very good, not excellent, not pants. It's a good film spurred on, for me at least, by the hype that surrounded it and the good prequel that is Batman Begins (along with the 6 animated stories that I think are supposed to brdige the gap between the two films).

It's not a number one film and never should be.

Then again, I was always an odd one out with liking films; why do people love the first Matrix film...came out of the cinema of that film and thought "WTF was that pap wrapped up in CGI goodness?!".

2.5 hours + typical adverts so make room for about 3 hours

I went to the 10.45 showing and left around 1.30am, much longer than I actually thought it was going to be.

That's where I saw it yesterday, it's just absolutely amazing. Definitely going to watch it there again, the imax scene's are incredible.

I know it's already been said but if you can give The Dark Knight Returns, The Killing Joke, and possibly Arkham Asylum a read before you watch it you'll appreciate some of the little touches more.

Matrix is a funny one for me. I really thought it was fantastically unique... then I discovered anime lol

The Dark Knight is by far my favourite comic book adaptation now, and it's up there with my very favourite movies of all time Some really don't like it and I can appriciate that.. some people find Heat boring but that is one of my favourite films.
