Stargate Season 10
Well we have a Galactica thread so how about an SG1 thread..
Well, it seems or is at least likely that Daniel, Teal'C and Mitchell are dead.. Theres a slim possibility that Mitchell could be alive due to him going for the 302's when the ship was under attack so he "could" of made it out, Carters stuck floating in space next to the supergate and Vala's kids kicking... Is it possible that they have all been assended, after all this war is going to effect the Ancients and they could of stepped in. There is also the possibility that the whole Arthur/Merlin storyline could get deeper..

Indeed.
I like the way they've started to entwine the SG1 and Atlantis so the stories are starting to lap over a little as well. Last edited by Lee @ SCAN; 15-03-2006 at 01:00 PM.. |

season 10 info here
![]() http://www.gateworld.net/sg1/s10/index.shtml I hope it's better than season 9...it's been a bit of a poo season in comparison to the first 8 really (and 8 was only average), I can easily see the franchise being killed off in after season 10 ![]() Personally I think that mitchel's character is terrible, and vala doesn't deserve a regular slot, both of them are more atlantis quality imho..SG1 seems to be heading more the way of atlantis all the time, losing the cool things that made it a good show in the first place.

Eh?
Have you seen the end of Season 9...? Where are the references to the Free Jaffa being in the pocket of the Ori, Garrak was the only real advocate of that and he's dead now.... Yeah the Atlantis and SG1 timelines are the same, they did mention the Deadalus was still on its way back from the Pegasus galaxy so its possible that it could turn up and use some of the Wraith tech against the Ori invasion, maybe using the Azgard beaming tech to teleport nukes to the Ori ships?

^^^ Above was aimed at Lee btw..
Yeah Season 9 was a bit weak compaired to 1-7, Richard and Don both leaving at the same time didnt help I dont think and them both of them moving up the chain very quickly has pretty much written them both out of the series, a shame really as Sam didnt marry Pete and there was a bit of unfinished business between Sam and Jack...

Argh - watching SG1 and Atlantis as well as a few other's is confusing my mind.
Yeah, thats the buggers name - Garrak. I've noticed thought that SG in particular has series that are basically "fillers" with crap storylines and plots just to basically allow the route from one storyline to another without confusing the american masses ![]() No - I've not seen all of series 9, theres 1 or 2 episodes I need to watch and a few I need to watch again. In reality though, the loss of RDA from the SG-1 team makes it feel a whole different show. Gone are the wisecracks that had me in stitches laughing. The most memorable one was from about series 6-8 ( somewhere in there ) where 1 of the gou'ald asks " are you the jaffa named Teal'c " towards the big man himself and RDA chirps up, nope he's an actor that plays him in a TV programme ![]() Oh damn... Vala's coming back as well is she... urk

Loosing RDA was a big loss for the show and could well have been the "jumping shark" moment, loosing DD at the same time wasnt a great help either...
As for Vala, yeah shes gonna be a regular in S10, bit more eye candy I guess, I so would...

Well Stargate SG1 Season 10 and Atlantis Season 3 have started (as of July 14th in the states)...
Season 10 looks like it may well top season 9...if the first episode is anything to go by

I've just seen SG1 10e01 and enoyed it. I agree that its nice to see the two timelines matching up but I think my preference is drifting towards SGA. SG1 has done well, really well, what with it being the longest running science fiction series and still being enjoyable but no series is invulnerable. Personally I think its starting to show its age a little, or perhaps I am
![]() Don't get me wrong, I still love it, its inevitable. Anyway, I think ill watch the atlantis tonight. Looking forward to it...

Atlantis is good but it's a different good to SG-1.
Maybe I'm being sentimental as I've loved SG-1 from the start - yes it's had some weak episodes but then the next one is usually so good you forgive the writers for the pain the week before ![]() Oh and I've got to say that I hope McKay has more fun in SG-A season 3 as some of the episodes of him being arrogant with Szelinka (sp?) and the rest of the techies makes it worth watching alone.

As said, they are both good, but I have to say I found SG1 10x01 more enjoyable than Atlantis 3x01, but still enjoyed Atlantis.
Its great that we have so much great sci fi around at the mo. Cant wait till BSG comes back in around October - pretty much the best sci fi series around at the mo. |
