Forgotten Sons
Man....what a gig
![]() http://www.forgottensons.co.uk/ For those unaware of the band's name, Forgotten Sons was a track by Marillion, back in the heady days of Fish being lead vocal (and "lead" everthing tbh, hence the later split and new front man) For anyone who ever want's to relive Market Square Hero, Warm Wet Circles, Assassing and the rest of the massive back catologue of Fish's time with Marillion, plus a few slightly newer crowd movers from Steve Hogarth and Marillion, (Hooks in You ) then the Forgotten Sons tribute band are the way to go.But nowhere could they be better, than in Marillion's home town of Aylesbury, and on Saturday night, at the funny little venue called Limelight Theatre (ex primary school...I kid you not!) Sair and I, plus a multitude of friends, and over 100 other fans...shared ample pints of sweat, jumping and singing for 2 hours of solid amazing-ness! With the one exception of Sabbath live last year, Saturday night's Forgotten Sons gig was THE best gig I've lived through. Many bottles of Grolsh, many litres of adrenaline charged perspiration and more bruises and aches than I ever got when I were a lad at gigs (old...> me?) from jumping, dancing and being a part of it all....... just unreal! |
