Re: What albums are you listening to at the moment?
Guillemots - Through The Windowpane
Guillemots - Red And strangely a lot of Coldplay recently... I've never been a fan, but I've found myself listening to their back catalogue a lot. Best of. If it was a Greatest Hits it would have Shiny Happy People on it, one song most REM fanboys detest.* ![]() Went to one of the recent REM gigs, at Manchester at the Cricket Ground, a couple of week back and it was absolutely epic. First of their gigs I've been to and despite having all their DVDs and seen a lot of their TV appearances in the past decade and a half, I was blown away. Great range from a 25 year back catalogue, and Stipe is so much more charismatic on stage than you get the impression of through a TV or monitor. Support was good with Guillemots (average in such a big stadium gig, though they'd work well in an intimate indoor gig, and their albums are great) and Editors (sounded quite good, but VERY repetitive live). As support goes it was good, but I was expecting more from both, especially Editors, who I'd been told were much better live. * Don't mind it personally. Cheesy, bubblegum pop, but it kind of reminds me of me singing along without a care in the world in my early teens.

Anyone heard of Quantic?
I've just found them on 'Tube, and they're great! Loads of really chilled out and generally head nodding tracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQOYR...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBft8...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY04UhXxewI (you might have to skip to about 40 before the song starts properly) From the albums "The 5th Exotic" and "Apricot Morning"

Personally, I don't think Death Magnetic is their finest work.
Shame. |

Indeed it's not their finest, but it's pretty damn close imo. Miles better than st.anger and it's all I could have hoped for
