    Software for making a DJ mix on PC?

    Right, so ive recorded all my old skool vinyl to wav files, and i want to do a few mixes, but its been a while since ive tinkered around with any audio programs. im looking for a program that will let me load up the wavs in a cubase/acid/vegas type view, change the bpm, get it in time and then onto the next one, real time mixing isnt needed, effects such as filters would be nice, but not essential.

    so am i still looking at vegas/acid, or is there something new and good to have a go at?

    cheers

    Acid has pretty superior beat matching tools, pretty much the program of choice for mashups

    Traktor DJ Studio 3, you can mix upto 4 songs at a time, plus it has all sorts of effects e.g. filters/reverb/delay/beat masher http://www.nativeinstruments.com/ind...or3_us&flash=7

    thanks for the replies

    fruity and cubase arent quite what im after, ableton live..i had an older version of that, but i couldnt get into the interface of it, ill give it another try. traktor i used a while back, but the version i had, didnt have the layout where you can see the whole track in waveform..maybe it does now? ill have a look. might end up with acid/vegas after all

    traktor does now have the full waveform display of the track plus you can play it like having 4 turntables. It also has 4 eq's instead of 3 now, meaning you can control high,mid-high,mid-low and low, it is worth a serious look If it the sort of thing that you are after?

    so can you lay it out like this.

    [|||||||||||track1||||||||||||||]
    [||||||||||||||||||track2||||||||||||||||]
    [||||||||||||||||||||track3||||||||||||||||||]

    edit, couldnt make this look right..was supposed to be one overlapping the other

    and then once its lined up and eq'ed as required, just save the entire project to cd, or as a big wav file/mp3 or whatever?

    that would be ideal if thats the case.
