Blu Ray player plus network media player

Not sure where to post this question - so I'll try here.

Looking at investing in a bluray player with in built network media playback (dnla)

I have a NAS server and alot of my films now converted from DVD to Divx as its easier to store and
    watch.

I want to get media player that works with everything you can throw at it and also work with services such as iplayer. I see alot of modern bluray players claim to do everything.

I was looking at these two:

    Sony BDP S470
    LG BD660

Anyone have any thoughts on these or other suggestions.

Re: Blu Ray player plus network media player

I have a Sony BD player, but I haven't thrown much at it in terms of streamed media (my server is down for a while). I don't know how compatible it is. The interface is good though, works on the same design principal as the PS3 interface.

The iPlayer works well on it, so does YouTube and a couple of the other internet video services I've played about with on it.

Re: Blu Ray player plus network media player

I've read promising reviews about the Sony BDP S470 and its internet services. Seems like Sony have got that all spot on. There are a few reviews though that pick holes in the compatibility of files they can play over DNLA networks, although less problems via usb.

I am a bit concerned that Sony won't update models with firmwares updates, but instead just release a newer model player - familiar story with Sony.
