Thumbs up intel wi-di is bloody great.

found out my Intel 6300n ultimate wireless card in the laptop supports wi-di and to boot comet are selling off the netgear PVD1000 for a whopping £10

now considering it will push 720p to a HD TV for £10 is not to be sniffed at considering the lack of cables, now i do have a HTPC under the TV but this is great for popping up pictures on the telly with the press of a button, sticking up a funny youtube vid without getting everyone round the laptop or even streaming iplayer or none copyright videos.

quite a clever widget allows you to select a active page/window/etc to the TV only, it turns the volume off on the laptop while your streaming and pushes audio to the TV/Receiver.

if you have one of the supported cards (£20 off ebay for a 6300 3 channel card that comes with 3rd antenna) and a I3/I5/I7 laptop you can stream wireless display & audio to your telly
