media player problem

hello, im having trouble playing curtain media files that are of type windows media/video file format

not all of the above format has problems, only a couple



they basicly look like this when i play them..

Are you sure the media isnt encoded, with a divX or Xvid codec, this may well be the case, try getting the latest virsions of these. Or get a good codec pack... I think theres one on the windoes media player webby, but google should point you in the right direction

Get rid of all your codec packs (unless you are encoding) and install FFDshow. It will decode the vast majority of video file syou come across with a minimum of fuss.
