faster, still some way to go. im now using my DSL-G624M as an access point, ethernetted to my bebox (so i can turn its wireless off and stop it overheating, and make use of the 108G of the d-link setup i have).

edit: that was far easier than i thaught too, the bebox still seems my pc perfectly! guess i dont have to go out and buy a new router after all!
edit2: connection speeds up from the 38% it was on the bebox to 50% aswell, time for some arial fiddleing

    come on you mother!

EAT IT, ITS GOOD FOR YOU!

right thats enough for now. may have another bash when we get into the small hours, probably still a bit congested at the mo (ireland server seems to give better speeds wth poorer pings.. hmm)

addition: anyone using the bebox for wireless should stop right now. seriously.

and thats kind of cheating i guess. upload and ping take a nosedive while transfer crosses the 16000 mark

ta, i was pretty dissapointed when i was gettin around 10000 because i know people with similar lines were getting far better. and while theres still some more to squeeze out im pretty much happy with it now.

as i say, no-one should be using the bebox for wireless, and dont ask the forum (or the unofficial one) for help as they are no better than a recorded message "have you read this thread?" "plug into test socket and post stats" "your wiring is bad" zzzz. most of the peple who are having speed problems will be having it for the same reason i was

edit: is anyone else feeling like if the test was a bit longer they would get a better score, because mine never seemes to stabilize, it just runs out of "jump"

    hahaha, seriously?

on another note, does anyone know of a speedtest like speedtest.net but with a bigger download, as my connection hasnt topped out when it gets to the end of the test.

right well iv raised a ticket with be* (i hate that name, makes it more difficult than it should be to find information about them on google and the like) to be switched from interleaved to fastpath.

so i should be "going nuclear" soon, people tend too see around an extra 4 megs, and better pings. but with worse stability so i shall see how it shapes up. im gunning for a 20K score tho

this test seems very inacurate as our speeds are much higher than that on other tests
