    Orange Broadband. ARGH!!

    hello,

Does anybody else here use Orange Broadband? Are you having serious slowdowns?

I'm supposed to be getting 8 meg, but for the past couple of weeks I have been getting around 100kbps. It can get as slow as below 80kbps.

I have this porblem with Virgin. Think it has something to do with the number of other Orange broadband customers in your area, and how many lines they rent from BT. Very frustrating though I know, especially with most companies making you sign contracts these days, which is ridiculous when they are only offering 'up to 8MB', the vaguest term in the world.

    hello,

    I live in the North-West.

It's completely ridiculous, it's been going on for ages. I called and they said there is a problem, and they can't tell me as to when it will be fixed.

    Pathetic.

    Maybe your being capped?
    Been downloading lots lately?

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

All OK here. I'm on a 2Mbit connection though.

An Atlantean Triumvirate is now available in various eBook formats.
