    Two NICs. One PS3. Help!

I'm trying to get my PS3 networked and I'm confusing myself with network settings.

My internet router (draytek) is on 192.168.1.1
My main PC (duke) connects to the router via a wired LAN. The NIC's IP is 192.168.1.12.
I have a wireless access point in duke which I've set up on 192.168.0.1.
I am trying to connect my PS3 to the wireless access point.
My wireless access point doesn't appear to have DHCP.

I've had it working once, but then I must have changed a setting and it's not working again. I can set up an IP on the PS3 okay. 192.168.0.10 works fine. The problem is connecting to the internet.

What do I set up as the gateway and DNS on the wireless NIC? What about the gateway and DNS on the PS3?

Here's an output from ipconfig /all. Any help would be appreciated.

Try set the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0? Not very sure but I think that is needed for 192.168.0.* to talk to 192.168.1.*

Or perhaps try set the wireless to 192.168.1.200 and see if it works.

If you want your PS3 to be able to access the internet through your PC you need to have ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) setup on your PC.
I haven't done this in a while so these are rough instructions:
Open network connections, then right-click on your NIC and select Properties then the Advanced tab. Now choose "allow other nework users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" and choose wireless from the drop down box.
I think that should be it, hopefully

Just to clearup some terminology, you've got a wireless network card/usb stick in your PC (an access point tends to be something like a wireless router or enterprise version of such a device)

    Set sunet mask to 255.255.255.0

Set all machines on the same subnet - 192.168.1.x where x is different for each device and greater than 0 but less than 255.

At the moment you have it set up so that you have 253 subnets each with one host - which isn't much use!

Is YOUR system up to Folding?

Re: Two NICs. One PS3. Help!

    Thanks for the responses.

FWIW it was an access point. My mobo has one built in along with a NIC.

I tried a few things. In the end in turned out my access point and PS3 needed to be in 192.168.0.x but my NIC and router needed to be in 192.168.1.x. On the PS3 I used the access point's IP as my gateway and the router's DNS entries.
