    Ping and choke with *Be

Just got *be pro and set my line to speed and gamer mode in the member centre, but I'm getting choke of between 5 -20, and pings often exceed 100... ( In counterstrike source)
    Can anyone help?

Are you 100% sure its not the sever?

Choke is one of two things, your sending more data than the server can cope with or your creating more data than your connection can send to the server in the time frame needed.

I find I get choke on my VM connection due to how the data is sent to the server. The ping is not good, ping the bbc website and see what you get. If you can get your ping down then as long as you get no loss to the server you will be good to go.

you can't have gamer mode on during the first week of your connection as it has dlm on (something that monitors your line etc)
Also that thing doesnt work in the member center yet so after dlm is gone just submit a ticket asking to be switched onto fastpath or submit one now asking them to do it when your dlm is turned off. It should keep your pings low.

My line's got DLM running, and I've got a 3db Fastpath profile enabled. Gotten an extra 1Mb out of the DLM too cos my line is rock solid at 3db FP.

    Good times.
