Ps3 and Dns server error
Hi, I've just moved into my University house and the internet is routed through a Thompson Beebox. I'm trying to get my Ps3 hooked up and the error revolves around the DNS. How if I log onto the Router can I find the DNS server or whatever it is. I found something that could be it like 192.168.1.65 but that doesn't seem to work with the ps3. I have the Ip correct it's just the DNS server that is stopping the ps3 connecting.
Cheers for any help.

Re: Ps3 and Dns server error
You should be able to get all the necessary details by opening the command prompt in windows and typing 'ipconfig /all' That will list all the DNS, Gateway details etc.
Are you connecting via wireless or wired? Why are you entering the details in maunally? The PS3 should automatically ssetup the connection, provided you know the wifi security password and have DHCP enabled on the router. |

Re: Ps3 and Dns server error
Thanks for the help - turns out I was being a muppet in assuming our network was WEP, but in fact it was WPA encrypted. Once I selected WPA it worked fine.
