    Routers

I have an ADSL connection and I'm looking at the possibility of a Dual Band Wireless N router with Gigabit switch built-in. I've noticed that the cable "broadband" routers are quite a lot cheaper than the ADSL equivalent and that there seems to be a lot more choice.

Does anyone know if I can use a cable router for my routing and use my current ADSL router effectively as only an ADSL modem? I have a feeling I can but wanted to make sure.

    Re: Routers

you can yes but what I would do is use your ADSL as modem / NAT and plug a CAT5 from your ADSL router into on of the LAN ports (not the WAN port) of the cable router and use it as an AP. You then then also use the other ports on the cable router as a switch. Thats what I do anyway.
