    Transferring files

When I transfer files TO my server machine, they go at the full speed they should... I.e about 9 Megabytes/second.

However when I transfer FROM my server, to my main machine, the speed only reaches about 500KB/sec.

Any ideas why this could be?

My server's NIC is a DLink DFE-530TX, and I'm using the onboard lan on my NF7-S.

    Thanks

I'm not much of a network guru but think it could be the onboard LAN on the NF7-S?
Couldn't hurt to give a spare network card a try

Don't have any. And I'm reckoning it's the server tbh. Dunno where the problem lies though

Try setting the D-Link card to work in half-duplex/simplex mode; sometimes autonegotiation of duplex mode can cause a huge bottleneck, and a lot of jabber. If that doesn't cure it try dropping the speed on the card to 10Mbit.
