    Wireless Network with NTL

    Hello

My flatmates and I have already set up a wireless network and have enabled file sharing. Now all we need to do is setup the "router" (Wireless-G ADSL GATEWAY 2.4ghz 802.11g Model No. WAG54G) to use our 1.5mbps NTL connection.

How exactly do we do that? What are the steps we have to follow?

    i.e.
    1. Connect the cable modem (the one provided by NTL) to the router.
    2. Configure the router using the software that came with it.

Does it matter that the device is sold as an "ADSL gateway" as opposed to a "Cable gateway"?

I did go through some of the threads but couldn't find the answer(s) I was looking for.

    Thanks

erm, you may have a problem (but I hope that I'm wrong).
Your router (a Linksys?) is designed for use with an ADSL connection plugged straight into it but your NTL connection is cable & I don't think that you can connect the NTL modem to that router.
I think that what you wanted was the WRT54G.
