    In need of some advice

Hello all, I am having abit of bother with my isp (TalkTalk) at the moment. The problem being that I am experiencing huge lag spikes constantly while using the internet which has basically banished me from online gaming at this point. So I visited the TT community forum and the problem appears to be nationwide.

There have been countless threads made about the same problem but apparently some of the moderators have began deleting threads/comments which are provocative to a point which people are buying out of their contracts and changing isp completely.

So basically I am at a crossroads atm. TT will/have not acknowledged that there is a problem and will not pursue the case further for me and many others. Should I consider just cancelling the contract all together or hope that they can get their act together. Does anybody know if I can contact a governing body like trading standards whom may escalate the case further?

    cheers

OFCOM are probably the correct body. They have guides to complaint procedures you can follow and link for who to follow up with for regulatory help:

I'd probably do all the things they ask you before contacting OFCOM, just to say you've tried the things. Even if its a mundane, checking cables and swapping Microfilters.
