Wow, don't you have vulnerabilities to patch!?
I'm running a virtual pfsense, so whenever the host goes down (for tinkering) so does my router.

I'm a fan of Draytek, Netgear & TP-Link, both have served me well throughout time. I've yet to experience a full Netgear failure. One of my old ADSL Drayteks went bonkers and I lost the ability to control it via telnet or web so sent it back on warranty, repaired without hesitation & not a problem since.
Currently landlord provides our router so I've sold all my old router gear. Most of it had aged anyway with outdated tech, for instance 10/100 LAN & low speed Wifi. But all working.
I do have a Netgear EX7000 Nighthawk AC1900 extender for me to connect my equipment directly to which hasn't given my any problems. But a criticism is the GUI is too dumbed down for my liking. It's lacking the advanced configuration of previous generations.
I'm on a VDSL line, so not allowed to patch unless the patch has been through the BT approval labs. Stupid system, for my router there aren't patches that often.
It is a Zyxel router, apparently some botnet special with more holes than a crazy golf course. I have a Draytec which I should have another bash at getting working, but it is an awful bit of kit which looks impressive on the surface but when I tried to configure it seemed to have some awful misfeatures. Might have to try their customer support and see if there is a way around the problems. Glad it was second hand and cheap, if I paid full price I would have been livid.
I can't tell you the uptime of the Zyxel, it appears that the management interface has crashed. So I guess next time I go downstairs it will be "0 days".

Asus RT-AC87U
Very impressed with it, but the uptime is less than two days, because we had a power cut over the weekend.
BT SMART HUB... Although there have been numerous firmware updates, I manage around 13 days before it disconnects and then connects again
Asus RT-AC88U when I can get it configured to run on sky fibre
Asus RT-AC86U, not as expensive as the 88 but it's been running for 5 months + without issues.

TP-link Archer c2 - The cheapest gigabit wired, AC wireless router I could find (£35ish) and I've got on well with TPlink in the past. Its plugged into an old openreach VDSL modem. Uptime is normally months (I've never rebooted it to fix a problem in the 2 years I've had it) and signal strength is pretty good. Got a BT smart hub still in the box but I'd consider it a downgrade... Never do anything complex with it but reliability wise it can't be beat.
