Someone please provide some information on how to go about doing DIY hosting - "like to a cook book". Alternatively, suggest links to other pages.
I have a domain name registered, ADSL 1MB connection, Fixed IP Address, access all the Microsoft software (Win2003 with IIS & ASP.NET,) and a computer. I want to use hosting facility to help me develop & test an application. 24x7 availability is not required and maximum 10 people will be login in at any given time. I discovered that hosting package do not offer access to control panels to restart WWW services as and when I needed nor they allow installing new components. Dedicated hosting is for people who can effort £100+++ per month .
