sony / slingbox / PVR & upload speeds
2 questions in one
a) I want to get remote access to my TV (with Timeshift), when I am working away from home. options appear to be get a HD recorder + Freeview, plus either Slingbox or the new sony device; or install a Freeview & analogue card in a PC (I have a decent spec one to hand). b) you seem to need - unsurprisingly 300K+ upload speeds - who is the best ISP? If I take the PVR option and install the PVR behind a DMZ, can I manage this without a static IP address - or do I need to consider that when ISP hunting (currentlly I'm with NTL - who are nowadays ok for service) |
