Wireless Network and Wireless Alarm - Conflicts?

I know this may be a long shot, but....

I've got a existing wireless network (netgear rangemax - DG834PN), which operates at 2.4ghz, and I am looking at getting a wireless alarm system, but don't know if they may conflict - don't want the alarm going off at the wrong time

Does anyone have any experience of having the two systems in the same building? Also any suggested wireless alarms?

    Thanks!

They shouldn't conflict as they should scan and hunt a free channel in the 2.4ghz band. But having said that, my video sender used to pick up interference from my access point until i forced it to another channel.

Not actually sure that alarms would use this band though..

Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.

Ask the supplier of the alarm if it will interfear with your wireless network, they are sure to know.

If not im sure it will mention in the manual/specs somewhere which frequency, just choose a different one for you WLAN.
