It's WTI's terminology for 'power cycle'. Shutdown the outlet, wait for n seconds (boot delay, configurable), then restore power to the outlet.

The web UI is simply making the Telnet connection in the background and issuing the right commands

What's your opinion of the RT-AC66U? I'm seriously considering one.

In real world how does the AC range compare to N wireless?

Re: Post Your Network! (56K = Possibly)

Huh, yeah I don't think mine is worthy of photographs, it's quite similar to Preacher's.

ASUS RT-N16 router running TomatoUSB v1.28.7501 MIPSR2Toastman (haven't seen a reason to replace it, suits us well) - has a 500GB USB hard drive connected as networked storage.

For WAN, that's connected to the Virgin Superhub (yeugh) in modem mode. 120Mb connection, but obviously it's only 100Mb wired to the ASUS. Does me fine. If anyone has any suggestions for a gigabit router that supports a version of TomatoUSB, I'm all ears.

Anyway, wired connections from the ASUS to the Smart TV (LG 42LM620T) and the PS3 in the front room.

Wireless connections for virtually everything else:

    Laptop
    PC upstairs
    PS3 upstairs
    360 upstairs
Two Windows phones (Lumia 1020 and a 710)
iPad 4 (damn you lightning connector!)
Oh, and my old 2010 iMac downstairs

Other devices as and when. PS Vita, PSP, guest phones, the like.

Range-wise, it's pretty good. We don't have any black spots.

It took me a few moments to clock the date on the left of the posts. I was wondering how anyone could run anything on something with specs that low.

    My Setup is:

Virgin Media Superhub 3 (In Modem Mode)[Do Not Recommend] as the firmware/software, connected to a Arris Server makes it reset every 32-34 Minutes- Known as Port-Flapping. Effects the Wan Port.
