Managed to Rob it off eBay for £190, mint condition, looking for a network card for it or a print server, though the print server is looking more tempting as the NICs seem to go for over £50 which is a little silly to be honest.

My network should change soon though so I have this main machine connected to the wired part rather than using a Laptop as a wireless bridge to a WAP to the rest of the network.

Aah very nice bargain! Bought one of them new a couple of years ago for about £900 - but that was the DTN with networking and extra 500 sheet tray built in. Still even the 4100 has been completley eclipsed by the latest LaserJets, £1000 will get ya a networked 43PPM monster, and £300 will get you a networked 20PPM jobbie. The rate of improvement of HP printers has increased alot over the last couple of years.

Well - internal JetDirect cards are £160 - £250 new depending on what printer and what features you want, so £50 isnt bad really IMHO.

Gotta order EIO internal cat5 cards for Laserjet 4000's in april - gonna set me back £160 ex vat each one. Youch.

I got BY cable modem to BEFR41 Linksys router to my PC and Dads laptop, they are networked together via the router and the cat 5 cabling goes through the loft. We share a printer connected to my PC.
