"Has the £319 pricetag managed to convince you?"

Nope, the acer's £199 looks (just a tad) more attractive.

I think it would be sensible to wait and see how the new breed of laptops pan out before running out to buy one. For me £319 is still way too expensive and I think in the coming months when all the laptops are out we will see prices falling to what these laptops should of been in the first place.

Early july will see the acer launch too so there's nothing in it time wise really.

Re: Headlines - ASUS' Atom-powered Eee PC 901 launching July 1st

I think I'm ready to buy one cause can't wait any longer... I was almost gonna buy a 700 but held back to wait for the 900, then the 901... Ideally I'd wait to see dell's mini-inspiron, but could be anything from 6 months to 18 months before that's released.

Can anyone tell me where I can pre-order a black one?

Ok So it is July 1st, and no sign of the 901, no reputable site even has it available for pre-order.
