As most people with a measurable IQ are likely nodding along on each announcement saying "yup Cletus, I saw this a'comin" I must admit the anticipation I had a few years ago for solid state technology has certainly not dwindled.
Granted it's not the crystal and holographic techniques we may have been most interested in (look them up if you haven't got excited over this news item) In fact it's come to market quicker than I thought. I'll be buying in the near future and I'm sure a few of the hardcore are well ahead of me in that respect. Roll on the next 6 months of technological advance and price reductions  |

As soon as its 500GB for less then £100, I will be raiding them, until then its them olde spinning discs in a box for me.
