Re: Intel launches first integrated x86 SoC
Hexus, you and your flippin' acronyms! Why not actually mention what a SoC is the first time it's used in each article, rather than relying on everyone to memorise every TLA in existence or - in this case - find it on Intel's PowerPoint slide.

Re: Intel launches first integrated x86 SoC
It was intentional. When I first discovered Hexus I was almost put off by the over-use of unexplained TLAs (that's Three-Letter Acronyms) - it took me ages to figure out what an SKU was. It still annoys me - if it's a case call it a case, not an SKU!
(For anyone who doesn't know, an SKU is a 'Stock-Keeping Unit'. Yes, a three-syllable acronym for a five-syllable term which means nothing to anyone outside of retail and is used in place of one-syllable words like 'case'!) Yours, Mr Grumpy from Internetshire |
