Real life vs work...

Work for HEXUS has been overwhelming lately, what with gaming.HEXUS going live, travelling all over the world and recovering from some nasty jet-lag I've been snowed under since I got home.

This weekend I'm off again, to not so sunny and far less glamorous Knutsford to have a chat with a development team about a game due this Christmas (I can't say any more about it now, I'm embargoed until July 1st), so I'm away this Sunday night until late Monday night... much to the other half's chagrin.

So today is really about spending time with the family, being a dad and a husband for a while... and trying to figure out how in the space of just 10 days the missus has managed to fill my freshly emptied and tidied garage full of junk again so I can't get to anything without risking snapping an ankle or causing a junk avalanche...

Then I'm going to mow the lawn, crack open a brewski and have a barbeque, aiming to be fairly well drunk by 9pm before settling down to fall asleep in front of a movie on telly.

ps. The missus is busy laughing at me as I sit here wearing a sweatshirt on this sunnny day.... I've just been in 30 degree/80% humidity for 10 days... I'm COLD!!!

lol, nope... we're waiting for the beer to cool seeing as we forgot to put any in the fridge...
