Put your kids in tears....
Simple really...
Open up a copy of WrestleMania 21, pop it in your X-Box and have a play. Amuse yourself and the missus with the superb 'Bra and Panty' mode where the aim of the game is not to knockout your opponent but whip their clothes off until they're in their undies... Then try a single player match and get trounced as your character is weak as hell... So try a two player match, with your nine year old daughter gagging to give you a virtual kicking... Writhe around on the canvas as she pummels the hell out of you in a frantic random button punching frenzy... somehow get up and then do the same to her to have her burst into tears as she doesn't like being beaten up and not be able to get up.... Put game back on shelf, turn off X-Box and make a mental note to NEVER play a youngster at any sort of fighting game again... |

I remember my ex's son when we were playing Mario Kart 64, let him win a few to be fair then pulled out every trick under the sun and owned. Right old fit and he put on the single player games and refused to let Mario Kart out of the box again lol A day to remember that even after 8 years of not playing that version I could still pull out the old tricks and beat all who tried

Heh. My 5 year old has recently started to get good at playing games. A favourite of his (and mine!) is Burnout 3. I kept letting him win, until I realised that he was actually beating me without any help
![]() He still sulks when I win, but it's "character building" ![]() |

Yeah, my youngest spent a few days with Mario Kart and now on the first few 50cc tracks she's a tough challenge... and forget about it on the shine thief modes.... she's damn good at that too.

Yeh I played an 8 yr old at pool the other week, I'm not bad mysel, but he played some awesome shots and I only beat him by about 2 balls. He went off in a mood. Shame he can't realise how good he is for his age.
It's crazy how good youngsters are on computers/consoles now. My gf's brother is 3 yrs old and he knows how to turn the computer on, type in his dads password (he doesn't know what the word is or means just where the keys are located on the keyboard), open IE, go to the cbbc website and start playing games! He even played Lemmings in front of me and told me of for not using 'blockers' in the right places! haha |

We've just had school reports for both our kids and they're both shining in IT. I know for a fact the eldest can change her desktop resolution, set a new wallpaper and other more unusual stuff they don't cover in the simpler IT classes they do for 9 year olds.
The youngest can open up programs and sort herself out with the games she wants to play, even using bookmarks in FF to go to her favourite websites... all far past what they cover in their IT lessons. And it really does help with the youngests reading, regardless of what people reckon, computers are good for kids in helping them develop more traditional skils too. |
