I now own Metroid on the Wii.

    1 word - WOW.

Forget Halo 3, this is amazing!

Resident Evil 4 is absolutely superb. The only game I've actually bothered to play on my housemate's Wii so far, and he's got a lot. Here's a pie chart that sums up my desire to play the other games I've seen:

Halo 3 is much better than Metroid. Let's not get too carried away.

Halo 3 better than Metroid? In what world is that true?

I have both games. Halo 3 is the biggest disappointment, and most over hyped game I've ever played in my life - and it's not just me who thinks it...let's see MetaCritic.

    Halo 3
    Critics Rating 94%
    Public Rating 74%
    http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...lo3?q=halo%203

This is easily the biggest drop I've seen a game get on MetaCritic - hype proven, of that there is no doubt.

    Metroid Prime
    Critics Rating 90%
    Public Rating 92%
    http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...tion?q=metroid

It seriously takes something for the public rating to be higher than the critic's rating.

    --------------

I'd suggest playing both games, before making such sweeping statements.

The new Smash Bros game is utterly, utterly insane. Thoroughly recommended.

baz it could also be a case of sony fanboys marking it low to disrupt the rating.

but i agree, halo 3 is poop, but then again so are 1 and 2.. i only own it because i was given it

    Feel free to add me

I read the title and thought " potential WoW games on the WWII " for some reason and thought, now that is a good idea. A wow MMORPG type game with different classes such as demolitions, medic, sniper etc

Then you'd say the same about nintendo games, and sony games - the fanboys would ruin it, but the fact is on every game you have idiots giving it a 0 or whatever, but the actual owners of the game are the ones who end up giving it the rating.

    EG - say 100 fanboys give it a 0
    1000 actual owners give it a 9.

    so it gets an 8

    Or

    100 fanboys give it a 0
    1000 actual owners give it a 7.

    It'd end up a 6 - see what I'm saying?

On the whole, the better the game the higher user rating it has on meta critic, comparing it to the "press reviews" is a good way of meaasuring hype and it's a major point for me on whether to buy or not.
