Any potential wow games on the WII

No i dont mean world of warcraft, i mean has anybody seen any clips previews of a game that they think is a must have for the wii? Personally i wish they would bring out a full fledged boxing game but I guess we will have to wait for fight night 4 before that happens

Most of the games seem to be some version of mario or other or very cutesy am I right? - is there anything a bit more grown up or do we think the wii is going to concentrate or a possibly younger market? I havent got one yet and sometimes i dead keen on getting at other times im not so sure

personal preference I think mate. What sort of game do you consider mroe grown up?

I'm looking forward to metroid prime 3, that I think is going to be a realy good FPS for the system. That is my main wish at the moment a good fps to make sue of the pointer. As for wow games, nothing yet as really said that to me bar I guess metroid.

I am, however, interested to see how well the online features of mario strikers turn out. As towards the end of this year I'm sure we'll get quite a few more online games for the wii.

I just mean stuff like say doom 3 or resident evil or max payne u know the kind of thingm stuff thats not so cartooney. I wouldent mind getting one just for wii boxing but id want more games eventually and bar zelda and maybe metroid there dont seem to be many must haves. New soul caliber looks interesting

I must say Zelda bored the crap out of me. It couldn't keep me hooked. just seemed like a gameboy game to me, full of text reading.

Resident evil 4 looks good, probably one of the best looking games on the system so far. but I do agree I'd like to see more must haves, less games aimed at kids. actuaslly.. has anyone seen that Day of Disaster? Looks a bit like the day after tomorrow (the film) could be interesting.

I hope you finished it, it was incredible - slightly slow starting, but once you got in, wow.

Just not my thing. I got bored of reading through lines and lines of text a long time ago. which is why I rarely play the FF games. So I didn't finish it.

Just checked out IGN Wii for the first time for ages, and (in addition to the few games that have been mentioned) there is also Manhunt 2 and also Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicals - of which there is a short trailer.

Both seem like good 'proper' games, ie not cutesy or minigame, so thats seems good. Maybe devs are getting more used to the platform now, and if there are more and more good single player experiences, then this will only encourage more imaginative games to appear.

Zulander, I'm in the same boat, had my Wii less than 2 months and only played Sports and Play.

Only one that interests me at all is Zelda atm, having played "links awakening" on Gameboy (old school, not GBA) and "Ocarina of time" on N64, I havent played Zelda based game since.

So, are there any good, recommended Zelda games for the Gamecube, that could play on the wii?

    (apologies for semi-hijacking thread )

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edit, and, erm.. other games. Metroid Prime 3.

Seeing as the Big Ns trademark is 'cartoony' games (that are usually in a different league to anything Sony or Microsoft can churn out, in terms of sheer fun and playability) you'd probably do better not buying a Wii if you don't like them.

Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario and the likes are coming and they will be good, but if they aint your cup of tea, buy a 360.

Super Monkey Ball: BB is a classic example of a kiddie-looking game that will tear you up. Its so hard on the later levels, I had to write to my MP demanding that he write to his MP for some tips, yet it *looks* like a game a toddler could roll his way through.

This is Nintendos genius - the games they make look like cartoony bits of fluff, but they are deep, perfectly made, and quite frankly, as good as it gets.

Course, the VC games are there for you as well, but its more of the same - cartoony games that are 'teh best games ev0r'.

Mario Kart, Mario World, Link to the Past, etc. Gaming goodness, but if you can't enjoy a game that doesn't have WWF wrestling, skateboards, or other 'cool' things in it, then you wont get why these games are considered to be the cream of the crop.

In short - cutsey games are not for younger gamers, actually most of the best games man has ever dreamed up have been cutsey, only FF7 makes my list from outside the cutesy world, the rest is a mass of Zelda, Mario and the like.

Godfather is pretty good on the Wii.

Also mario striker is a good laugh.

    Scarface is out soon.

There are a lot of good games coming out on the console and a lot of the big studios have dedicated wii teams.

Manhunt 2 looks amazing and the wii version is supposed to be the version to own.

I think part of the problem is that since the 90`s nintendo have had the family image but each console has had its share of adult games on it just that the super cute ones are the big sellers.

Harvest moon should be brilliant when it comes out I have been addicted to GC one when it came out.
