Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
Got it yesterday and my initial thoughts are that it is fairly close to gaming perfection. And the sweetsweet level is evil
![]() At last i have had a reason to start playing on my Wii again

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
I have stopped for a couple of days. Im trying to savour the game as much as possible so last night I played a bit of scarface instead. Still The call from the galaxy is really strong

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
Got 4 stars in my first 'stint' playing it, dide quite a few times on some challenges but managed to do them in the end, (like jumping diagonally on one of the first levels)
This game does actually seem perfect for casually picking it up, playing a few stars, and putting it back down again It is fun, especially when I make Mario long jump to see how far he can go lol |

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
'Super Mario Galaxy' named best game ever
I've always rated Zelda: Ocarina of Time as my favourite game of all time, and I never thought any other game would come along and knock it off top spot... should never had doubted the greatness of Nintendo! I am so, so pleased for them and their Wii success. |

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
Jim, you should bear in mind the name "David Gibbon" for future reference, for he doth report on things which are old and contextually wrong. "Gaming Reporter"? More like "Not Very Up-To-Date Gaming Reporter"!
See: Ocarina retakes top spot, or just check out the top games of all time directly, here. ![]() Mario Galaxy is, at time of writing, a distant, distant second place, being 0.3% behind Ocarina of Time.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
Ooooh I didn't think to go and actually check gamerankings to make sure!! Seems that the last review that gave it 97/100 took it from top spot... it's a tough life

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
saving up for somewhere to live next year, i simply cannot afford a wii but im desperate to have a proper go on mario galaxy, it just looks so so damn good. i still have a snes plugged in just for mario allstars (although allstars on the snes doesnt quite have that same majesty they did on the nes) and mario world, as soon as i heard about this game i knew it would be good n here i am reading a thread about it, its not enough to make me trade in my 360 but it is enough to make me jealous

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
Well, I finally bought this on Saturday and I have to say I'm really disappointed...
...because I don't know how this game could possibly be beaten by any other game EVER ![]() To agree with everyone else on this thread, i am massively impressed by it. Superb playability - none of this "talk you through everything" crap - you really do have to work out a lot of stuff by yourself. A really rewarding and fun game to play.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
Bah, I need a Wii! I just can't hold it no more!
![]() Can't believe these consoles are still so hard to get hold of. Shopto.net had them in stock this morning but only as part of a £270 bundle which I really didn't fancy. It sure would be nice to get one for Christmas though. |

The games it included were actually good. One of the only worthwhile bundles I've seen so far!

Re: Super Mario Galaxy Owns Your Big Fat Mom!
Am at nearly 40 stars yet :d
The weird thing is taht when I played SUnshine I tried to get through the game as fast as possible getting the bare minmum of levels complete to open the next one. With Galaxy I`m trying to complete each one and get each star before moving on I dont wanna miss a bit :d Loving Luigi being in the game as well.
