looking for a wii
Hi i am looking to buy a wii for my parents for this xmas and was wondering if its still sold out in most places. also has there been a price drop yet? the machine has been out for nearly a year now. surely its cheaper?
what games would you recomend to get for it?

No price drop yet Josh, if I was Nintendo I'd put the price up by £20 for Christmas, it's still selling like there's no tomorrow.
I popped into a local Game store yesterday, they were sold out and couldn't say when they'd get more. The guy who worked there said "we sometimes get some in on a morning but my lunchtime they're gone again".

My boss spent the last 4 weeks on wii stock monitoring websites and finally got one yesterday after missing out 4 times within 6 minutes of the alert.
Its possible but you are going to have to be pretty damn determined. TiG

The Scan product page states "We SINCERELY apologise for the price increase but we've had to pay more to get stock. - All back order customers orders WILL be honoured at the old price."
I'd like to get one myself but I can't afford to pay more than retail. I'm hopeful stock levels will increase in the new year. |

weird they were 179.99 on play.com today. Sold out of course
 Glad I got mine a month ago now. 159 enjoy that price. and extra 100 quid to air ship them. Thought concorde as grounded now.

We know the price is higher than usual however we have had to pay more to secure the stock as all the European suppliers were charging more to secure stock due to the current shortages.

I got hold of one back in February by checking this site every time I got near a pc. Still took me about a month from when I started to actually getting hold of one.
As far as getting one from the high street goes good luck. The Game store I work in had 27 in last week and they were gone within an hour. |
