Why not? People are willing to go over for booze that totals less than the cost of a wii

Very true. I suppose they can get the Xmas booze in at the same time. Might even make the cash back selling some bits and bobs.

What I find strange is that this shortage doesn’t seem to be effecting Manchester. I went to the other day and cash generator had stock (admittedly only 3). HMV had stock and a few were walking while I was there, and a news agent – yes you read that correctly had stock. Im pretty sure Game in Trafford centre had them in as well.

maybe the shipment of wii's arrived in the end? shame for all those looking at substantially over-priced units...

GAME I work at has about 50 in and they've lasted 2 days! We think everyone has just stopped bothering to ask so we have some nice, impromptu A4 printouts saying 'Wii back in stock' in black and white on the windows.

If your still after a wii its well worth trying the high street again now.

I've gotta say the shortage must be over - Currys in Norwich has got some

Yeah, I've come across a couple of places that are selling them. A colleague of mine was actually after a DS lite for a friend, and just couldn't get hold of one anywhere, but after a telephone tip-off by a mate, picked one up from Toys R Us in Bolton, where they also had the Wii.

Oddly enough, the Wiimotes are still as rare as hen's teeth..
