    My DS is brokeded...

    The fateful hinge strikes again

Both sides are pretty well gone, so I am going to do myself a nice little mod...
Seeing as it's well out of warranty (bought it 2nd hand anyway) I figured I would buy a replacement casing and then fix the bits together

just had a muck about on colorware (they do custom ds's) and it's do-able

    So I have just ordered:

1x DealExtreme: $20.46 Full Replacement Housing Case for NDS Lite (Black)
2x DealExtreme: $0.96 Trigram Screw Driver for NDS NDSL and Wii
(2 screwdrivers as they are normally cheap and will no doubt break)

Should be a pretty cool design for black and white being in Newcastle and all

Thats really bad luck ...though at least DX sell replacement parts cheaply (i presume that's where you're getting another from). Out of interest, do the DS bits on there look like official parts of are they different?

    Re: My DS is brokeded...

Pics as promised In no particular order thanks to imageshack....
3rd one down shows the missing power switch

Snapped the power button thingy by mistake putting the case back together, £5 off ebay and some soldering to fix that bit, so no biggie

The screen doesnt sit flush when shut, but it's due to the way I arranged the hinge before putting it back together, so again no biggie

I like it (next step is when I can be bothered to make all of the top black, and all of the bottom white, 2 toned next style attempt)

Anyone want a quick guide on how to do it/what you need? I'll do it if asked but not otherwise
