    Shouldn't those be 16 digits?

    First time I've done this, it's a right game.

    Everyone seems to have 12 digit numbers but mine is 16, yet it asked me to key in 16 digits for friends. gah!

    Steve - make sure you are doing this from the WFC option in Mario Kart - iirc the Wii system codes are 16 digits long, but its a different code..there will be a unique one for you in the game

    Its different for every game...and you only need the game friend code to add someone as a friend.

    The console friend codes are for something different - they let you share your wii message board and send messages/mii's between friends
