Mario Kart Wii problems seeing friends online??

Hello,

for all the Mario Karters here (and there must ve a few of you) I wanted to ask if you have eer come across this problem...

I've only recently got it and have added a few mates from work. Now I definitely have them added as we played together online a few days ago, so I know that all codes are added fine.

However, when I connected to the Nintendo WFC, and looked in my friend roster, it showed that my mate wasnt on WFC. I called my mate and he was definitely on, as he had opened a room. He also said that on his roster, it was showing me as not on WFC...

Just to test, we both tried to get on random continental races, which worked fine. Even as I was on the phone to them and they were actually racing online, my friend roster still showed them as offline.

So it boils down to a local connection to WFC working, but for some reason the friend link not working properly... Anyone have any opinions on this? Happened to anyone else too???

I've had a bit of nightmare joining friends. I can see him online but for some reason this one particular person can't join me and I can't join him.

Incompatible routers or something? I know this happens on FIFA on Xbox 360 sometimes and I can't play certain people online.

Well, managed to connect again fine yesterday, so I guess I'm going to have to put it down to the WFC going through a bit of a spaz phase, as it seems to have done for a lot of people. Maybe they were upgrading servers or something...

Anyway, game on!!!
