Question connecting Wii to a flat panel/pc monitor

Well my tv just died so i have no way of playing Wii until i get a new one.. Thing is i recently bought a new 24" 1080p monitor and it works fine with my ps3 using the HDMI port.

I know Wii isnt hi def, but my monitor has DVI, VGA and HDMI ports so isnt there any way i could connect the wii to this without having to buy a whole new tv just to use it on?

Ive found the expensive video converter boxes but surely theres a cable that you could connect say.. a "scart to VGA" or something? I cant find one anywhere

I can't seem to find anywhere selling them too at the moment... But there I remember seeing a couple on sale on AV Forums... you could put a Wanted advert on there...
