WiiMotion Tech Demo
Hi all,
not sure about the rest of you, but when I first heard about the Wii Motion add on that they announced at E3, I was a bit skeptical, maybe because I couldnt really see how it might be used. However, I was browsing IGN, and saw this, and I have to admit that I am impressed. Check out the demo, but there are some great parts in there, which could be put to good use, especially the part where specific getures can be programatically recognised (to pull off moves more accurately)... Well, I'm a bit more happy about the addon now, that ymmv, so check it out http://uk.wii.ign.com/articles/895/895223p1.html JP |

Re: WiiMotion Tech Demo
ITs looking brilliant. As yahtzee said on his E3 video Nintendo Finally make the Wii do what we all expteced it to do from the start
![]() I love my wii and love the fact that the movement is getting even more accurate just have to see if developers can pull it off and also if they can sort out movement speed to compenstae for different users otherwise we`ll get the stronger ppl being better at games than weedy geeks and then We`ll lose the one place we had bragging rights ![]() |

Re: WiiMotion Tech Demo
I'm sure we'll be fine! Theres no force feedback and we can all swing the wiimote pretty fast! Just thinking about how cool Zelda could be to have proper sword and shield control somehow using the wiimote and nunchuck... That would be just great!!!

Re: WiiMotion Tech Demo
yeah
![]() Then its just a matter of trying to incorporate the balance board somehow ![]() Its all about a proepr light sabre game though. Lucas arts really need to realise that Every Wii owner wants a Light sabre game. Even just a really simple First person view fighting game would be great as long as we have wum wum noises and the sparks i`d be a happy man :@D |

Re: WiiMotion Tech Demo
Wow...I don't even care that this'll probably cost me another £30 per remote or something stupid and that it should have been incorporated from the start...I just want to play a game with it!
Any guesses on release date and when games will be available that use it? Hopefully Nintendo will do a tech demo Wii Sports 2 or something to go with it perhaps? ![]() |

Re: WiiMotion Tech Demo
They are packaging the item with a game that they showed at E3, Wii Sports Resort. Doesnt really look that much fun TBH, well not as much as Wii Sports, but will get it just for the attachment i think...
In terms of games, well, its just been announced and not sure how privvy game devs have been to the hardware, but again, will take time, as unfortunately, they wont develop ground up games that exclusively use the attachement (as opposed to just a normal wiimote) until they are widespread, and that wont happen until there are enough games to utilise it... There might be a chicken/egg scenario here methinks... But whatever, still think it looks great. |
