    Re: Wii U

Whilst Wii U might be underpowered compared to the upcoming Xbox 720 and PS4, Nintendo games just have a polish and addictivness that other console games don't. Wii U is bound to have a few AAA titles along with some great third party games aswell. I actually think the Wii U will be Nintendo's most successful console, even beyond the Wii etc..

    Re: Wii U

I'm really looking forward to it, to me the 360/PS3 are at the level of graphics that i'm more than happy how games look - hence the Wii U will be more than enough for me.

Add to this the fact that nintendo still have to of my most fav games available, i'll be buying a Wii U for sure.

    Re: Wii U

I have a Wii U on pre-order, but still in two minds whether to get it as it might just not get used if the games aren't forecoming enough. Do love Nintendo stuff though. I do like the fact you can use your Wii controller, unusual decision for a big company not to screw consumers over!

Zelda looks amazing, I never play the last Zelda on the Wii, was that worth playing? Forget the name of it now.

It looks interesting. The Wii was kind of disappointing but this one has promise. I'll wait to see some reviews and see what games come out on it

    Re: Wii U

Just not sure this has the same mainstream appeal that the wii had.

They got off to a bad start with the unveil as some mainstream news outlets thought it was just a new controller for the wii. The game pad is pretty intimidating by comparison with the wii remote too.

    Re: Wii U

I would predict a massive massive flop - but it's selling out everywhere, even though I can't for the life of me see why.

Vastly overpriced, underpowered and with limited market appeal..I am really not sure where Nintendo is going with this. When it was first announced it sounded interesting + clever - but things have moved on so much since then that I just don't think there is a place for it anymore.

I am a big nintendo fan and have owned/own most of their consoles - but I won't be buying a WiiU.

It just seems so confused to me. Is it a PSP? is it an iPad? Is it a Wii? Well actually its a mish-mash of all 3, taking the worst parts of the first two and the best of the latter and mixing them together in an expensive package.

I have no doubt that it will be a fun console and packed with great games- Zelda/Mario/Mario Kart etc will be brilliant on it..but whereas I could easily justify £150 for a Wii to play those games, I just can't justify £250+ for this iteration.

If anything kills this console it will be the price for a change, not the competition.

    Re: Wii U

Agree with you there. It does feel different, but underwhelming. I'm sure I will pick one up for Mario World, Kart, Zelda etc.

    Re: Wii U

Looking forward to playing it over my cousins house so I can see how it is myself. It will probably be fun with friends for a while anyway but I doubt it will be something I play for a while.

    Re: Wii U

It seems pretty decent but I'm worried that if I do want one, it will get exactly the same treatment as my regular Wii. Played for a few months then put away in the cupboard for ages.

    Re: Wii U

Played one last night in GAME, only demo they had running was Rayman Legends unfortunately, would've loved a shot of Mass Effect or Batman!

Was pretty impressed with the controller, just a shame that Rayman sucked!

Can't see myself buying one for a few years, still got too many Wii games to play!

    Re: Wii U

I'm happy enough with mine, although I only paid £200 for it. For me Nintendo consoles have moved away from being the sole console purchase, I buy them for the exclusive titles which Nintendo brings rather than any huge third part offerings. I liked ZombiU and some of the party games on Nintendo Land are fun enough. However, my main console is still my Xbox360 and it will likely be the next Xbox when that comes out too. There are some great overlooked games on the Wii though and I fully expect the Wii U to also get some must have games (especially from Japanese developers).

    Re: Wii U

I am somewhat interested in it but running a triple monitor set up in Eyefinity with an i5 2500K and a HD 7950 and whatever else my housemate chose for me makes me doubt I'll have any money in my budget left to buy a Wii U! Doesn't stop me from nastily teasing my housemate about getting a Wii U instead of a gaming PC, though. ^_^

    Re: Wii U

So far i'm really pleased with mine I got for Christmas. Was expecting to think 1 out of 5 for it but will give it 3.5 out of 5 with the current games I have.

    Re: Wii U

Zombi U is a pretty good zombie shooter. Nintendo Land is good family fun. There wasn't much slowdown on Assassin's Creed 3 either. The Xbox 360 version slows down too much.
I love the speedy internet browser, and the community drawings are kind of funny. The controller with the screen is amazing.

    ...but
Not enough games. No MarioKart yet.

Wii U is a good console. It's going to be popular as the N64, I guess - when Nintendo release more titles.
    4.2 out of 5!
