Best Laptop for £5-700.

Okay can I have some suggestions for the best current laptops up to £700ish.
15.6"
Decent make
Discrete graphics card
4GB+
500GB HDD
Decent screen min 1600
i5-i7
Not over 3kg

Think most should fall within that.

Looking at
Dell XPS 15 or 15z


To be used as a general entertainment machine films, internet, office, skype, maybe some games, but stuff like wow.

OP: None of your usage patterns suggest a discreet graphics card would be worth it to me - was there something specific you wanted the graphics for? I'd look for laptops based on the AMD A-series APU - they're great for media playback and have enough graphics power for recent games as long as you tweak the settings down to around medium.

Also, remember that both AMD and Intel are releasing new processors - Trinity and Ivy Bridge - soon. I don't know how long it will take for them to come to market, but Trinity claims to offer ~30% better CPU performance and 50% better GPU performance than current A-series APUs, so if you're not desperate to buy now it might be worth waiting a couple of months and seeing what comes out...

Person has waited a long time already. would prefer to buy one on the next 6 weeks, so not sure if they can wait.
