    Re: which is better

Well the first one has an SSD cache (I assume, 8GB SSD has to be cache that'd be one crappy boot drive ha) also 1.5tb space vs 1tb on the second so I'd go for that.

Graphics wise It says 6970 but I assume it's the 6970M, the other has a GTX675M which is just a rebranded 580M, both very capable but I think the 675 is a wee bit better (don't quote me on that though.

Basically going for a system without some form of SSD, be it cache or full on boot drive is insane, the difference it makes to a system is just immense.

O forgot to mention about the CPUs - really doesn't matter which one. Top one is Ivy Bridge, Other is Sandy Bridge but they're basically the same chip performance wise...nothing you'd ever notice outside of benchmarking the hell out of em.

Dangerous interpreting model numbers, but it looks as if the top one is an updated version of the lower one.

    Re: which is better

Graphics wise the 675M is better by a decent margin.

    Better for what?

I'd much sooner have a good SSD inside, as that makes my tasks generally a lot faster.
