I end up using it in preference to my £1000 121" laptop most of the time
Thats a whole lot of inch for the money! (i keeeeed)

I got mine pretty early on too and I'm still more than happy with it. I agree with the screen comment, seems like they've kinda wasted the space available.

Standard DDR2 SODIMMS I imagine, something like this: Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

I'm sorely tempted by one of these little buggers now.. but i think i'm going to wait until MacWorld to see what kind of competition it's up against and CES as they're purportedly putting in WiMAX and some other stuff on the second gen ones. Plus, i want to see what the best options for external hard drives are - considering getting a 2.5" and a caddy.

Still, Morrowind on the move is pretty awesome!

So the Eee doesn't have Bluetooth built in? Seems strange. From what I know of Bluetooth it is a very cheap technology and uses a small chip so it wouldn't have bumped the price much or taken much space up.

Anyone know why there isn't any Bluetooth built in?

Would love to buy one of these but I'd want to add more storage (SD cards?) and up the RAM.

Only thing I have altered is upgraded skype to latest version so it can do video calls (which needs an ever so slight single-line hack).
great - could you provide a link or description?

PS my 8GB talent SDHC (from scan) works fine too

lol I should have checked that first, although my 4gb SDHC I got from 7dayshop.com a while ago (got it for my Wii before I found out about SDHC and that the Wii doesnt support it) works fine for playing movies off it.

One gripe I have is printer support, namely for an Epson DX8400 I have issues installing the drivers

Using 0511 bios here and so far its running great although it does look like the battery is taking a hit.

I'm using nlite'd XP on mine and the one I bought for the missus is running the default linux OS. In fact she buggered her one up somehow and I ran her through the restore from the backup partition, and I was seriously impressed how quickly it did it - im sure it was a couple of mins, if that

Also found a great use for this at night, helping me do that boring journal research that i've been putting off for months.

    sorry for the bad pic
