| XP Activation I am not sure about everyone else, but i format my HD about once every 2 months..or anytime i install a major peice of hardware (mobo, videocard etc.)... I am currently on my 6th activation in one year....I cant even activate it over the internet anymore, i have to speak with a phone rep. and i get the third degree from them everytime i call... is there a way to turn of this dreaded activation... between xp pro and office xp.. i am sick of this activation $@#% and i feel like anyday now they are gonna tell me i cant activate my copy anymore. | Administrator | sounds like a nice (legal) workaround - I'd be intrested to know if it works. I'm not sure why you rebuild quite so frequently, possibly for a motherboard change , but I'm suprised you feel it is needed for a GFX card swapout. have you considered taking a baseline build of your machine and imaging it using something like Ghost ? |
