Re: Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 for Windows Vista
Looks like they've taken out h.264 support in the RTM (unlike the beta which was leaked a few weeks ago), so no HD for Europeans.
What a monumental disappointment this whole much-anticipated Fiji thing has turned out to be... ![]() |

Re: Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 for Windows Vista
There are lots of rumours flying around about the update being split and two seperate updates coming...one in Spetember at CEDIA and one later, presumably adding HD support.
I was really looking forward to tinkering with Freesat HD in VMC too ![]() |

Re: Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008 for Windows Vista
For the benefit of our new members, if those certain sites are providing illicit versions, there's not be even hinting at them on Hexus, as we don't allow that sort of thing. s_kinton clearly knows this, but newer members might not realise.

However, you can get HD in VMC if you have the RTM TV Pack 2008, but use the beta dll that had HD support still included. This has been shown to work elsewhere. I haven't bought one as yet. I was going to wait for the TV Pack 2008 release and find out which card had the best support. |
