Easy way to get rid of the Green Start button?

I bet this has been asked a million times, but how is the best way to get rid of the green start button, that’s all I want to change! I wanna get a silver one to match the silver theme…. Any ideas or instructions?

it's part of the theme itself - in order to remove it, you need a new theme.

however, lovely as they are, ms have banned the use of non-approved themes... without some tweaking. http://forums.hexus.net/showpost.php...6&postcount=16 for a guide on making the neccessary changes & what to do with extra themes downloaded from the net

the file which handles themes, uxtheme.dll, will only load themes which are digitally signed by microsoft

and i presume it has something to do with buying the ms plus pack for extra themes...
