| Black screen with MCE I hope this is the correct forum, perhaps the mods would be good enough to move, if appropriate. I have an HCPC downstairs that is running MCE and it has a Black Gold TV card that is working beautifully. I have a PC upstairs that is running MCE also, and I have it tweaked to allow playback of the recorded programs on the downstairs PC even though it doesn't have a TV card fitted. All this is an aside really as the problem occurs whatever I try to use MCE for. I have a TV connected to the s-video out of my ATI graphics card and a monitor connected to the VGA socket. The desktop appears fine on the TV and is a mirror of that shown on the monitor. I have Media Centre set to runb as a window initially but when I maximise it the screen goes black on the TV and the monitor. All that is visible is the mouse cursor. It doesn;t respond to either left or right mouse clicks. The only way to get the screen back to normal is to press the "Windows" key on the keyboard. I am running the latest ATI drivers. Does any one have any suggestions? thanks Dave |
