Question Cloning a server to new disks

Can anyone recommend software that will take an exact copy of a server, currently a raid 1 mirror, store the image on an external USB drive & then boot from a cd & recopy the image to new drives?

Dell Server with Raid 1, one drive has failed, but as its using a hostraid adapter, you cant just replace the faulty disk with a new one & rebuild the array as the hostraid adapters are basically software raid at a bios level.

Dell are sending two new disks, which means building a new array, but as this 2003 server is also a terminal server, setting it back up again will take a day or two to do.

If I can copy the entire server to an external drive as an exact mirror, so that I can reinstate it to the new drives & carry on as if nothing has changed, but I need to be able to boot from a cd or floppy to recopy the image to the array.

Ghost, Acronis True image (which version?) & any other software?

    Thanks

Thanks Moby, the only issue i can see with that, is the SCSI drivers & Network drivers as a dos boot disk, id have to set it up specifically for this server...

It also does not mention usb drive support which could be an issue as i have 70gb to backup.

The other issue is that you can only backup one partition at a time, i can see if I do that, permissions on the folders on the 2nd partition will fail when its reinstated?

If you run the software from a PE disk , that should support USB.

BartPE has worked great in a jam for me, very nice to boot into a stable environment and some great tools to boot.

Would this still be possible if I restore the image to two new drives, in Raid 1, but using a different SCSI card?

    Thanks
