the way forwards guys, is to buy a death adder, the glowing lights on, whilst swaying the mouse gently infront of thier face, usually puts them into a state of hypnosis, then you can game at will

alternativly you can go put "them" on your missus.... she wont mind.... hehe

Re: Kids pestering you whilst you're gaming

Hayden pesters me all the time at the moment. She keeps passing me the xbox controller when I get in from work and keeps saying "football...football" and then turns the xbox on and sits next to me expecting me to play fifa 10/fifa 11 while she's watching

She's also figured out how to turn on the DJ decks for DJ hero and keeps wanting to play this all the time as well.

Last night while the Missus was on the PC, I heard a low ZZZZZZZZZZ coming from my speakers and had to unplug them as they were making a funny noise. After takig the cover off my sub-woofer to look inside, I found a set of house keys Hayden was playing with and also about 8 potatos. She has only been putting stuff inside the speaker when nobody is watching and running off laughing.

I thought my bass sounded a bit naff the other day when I was listening to a new promo mix from 1 of the local fidget house DJ's

    haha.

If only my father had the same view as yourself. You see he doesn't realise the potential of spending quality time with his son gaming playing some co-op on L4D2, but instead shouts at myself, when i just want to game. Granted I do spend alot of time on games...

Never forget a young sibling coming to me while I was gaming furiously, saying his hamster was acting funny. Told him to bugger off repeatedly as I navigated a difficult section .. then finally turned attention to him: "WHAT?! What do you want?!". Hamster was lying on back in his hand, legs in the air.

My little sister is well versed in gaming, I am one of her five elder brothers. From a young age she's watched and played all sorts of gruesome games. She's now desensitised to it, due to over exposure I suspect lol! If you can't beat m, join m.

I guess you must play games when the kids are asleep...you wouldn't trade your kids over game right? I hope so...

I try and give my boy just one button to press while I do the rest (and hope its a redundant button). He's happy mashing away at this one button and gets a share in the glory if/when we get success.

It's all grooming for when he's a bit older and can we can co-op for real - I can but dream!

    parenting = no games
    (unless they are sound asleep)

I had to forfeit GTA before getting to its end. I do get to play "clean the table after dinner - why is that sxxt not coming off?!" game which is twice as fun and also 3D in nature.

Re: Kids pestering you whilst you're gaming

Mate you shouldn't be playing games when your kids are around anyway. Why not take your kids out or play games when there in bed?

Kids are more important than gaming .

Some forums have those auto-locking modules that lock anything over, say, 6 months. Has a seriously detrimental effect on necromancy, although does tend to lead to new threads that start with "I was reading <thread link>".

Sometimes old threads are usefully resurrected, but when they are just resurrected to increase post count, we either moderate them on the spot or watch the poster to ensure that he or she doesn't abuse one of the HEXUS rewards.. (or sometimes both).

Abuse of 'For sale' for example, would include trading or dealing, or only posting in that section after reaching the required 100 posts.

Re: Kids pestering you whilst you're gaming

How old do kids have to be to start gaming on 360 or PS3? Maybe 3 years or something?
My kid is only 6 months now, but I can't wait to do some co-op games. I think the Lego series are great for kids, but still a bit hard for starters.
My son gets bored easily and then starts making noise when I'm gaming. So what I sometimes do is have some kids show on 1 screen and a game on the 2nd screen. He's watching the show and hopping around on his bag, and I still get to do some gaming.
