I'll be on about 9/10pm. Out golfing lol
Cool. I'm going on now so I'll see if I can fetch us some good suppliesIf anyone else wants to team up then join our steam group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/hexusdayz
Edit: Well that sucked. I found a shotgun and 2 crossbows and ammo for all weapons. I discovered a couple of really bad bugs though. 1. If you try and put 2 handed guns into your backpack they just disappear into thin air! 2. If you pickup another backpack but forget to empty your one first, you lose everything that was in your backpack. So... no guns yet haha :/

I won't be tonight. Pretty sure I will be tomorrow at some point though... I'm still by the south coast somewhere. Where did you guys end up lastnight?

EDIT: Seems my character has been restored somehow. So im at the airstrip stillJust logged in to find a sniper taking some shots at me
still alive though!
Whats the actual original ARMA2 like? Everyone only seems to play the mod?!
Haha yeh I normally try and lay down under a tree or something when I disconnect so this doesn't happen!
I love Arma 2. I used to play it loads the first year it came out. If you're not familiar with it then think Batllefield 3 but on a MUCH larger scale and a lot more emphasis on realism. This game is first and foremost a military simulator. It wasn't designed as an all out first person shooter action game so it is admitedly quite an unpolished and buggy game. If you can look past that you will see it's a diamond in the rough. Just be warned that you need patience to learn this game. Though there are some training missions which I really recommend doing, it doesn't hold your hand and guide you through at any point so you will be left completely confused as to how to progress with a mission at times. Also if you have no vehicle or no one that can give you a lift in multiplayer games, then be prepared to spend a lot of time running across the map!
So in a nutshell - If you love tactical shooters and you have patience to learn then this is probably a game you will end up loving. If you only have patience for games like COD then I don't think you wanna bother with this one.
Go on youtube and search for shack tactical or chkilroy. Those guys have a really fun and organised way of playing Arma 2. Also don't forget to look into Arma 3 which is coming out soonish. There is another zombie mod for this game that looks good if anyone wants to give it a go. It's a co-op objective based game though. So when you get tired of bandits on DayZ you might wanna give this a try: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14211
I'll be on shortly. I've been sleeping. Work taking a toll on me with backlog of work.
Christ.. lost track of time... 3am, 5hrs of solid playing, alot of exploration and killing zombies lol. Just need to find a chopper![]()
