    Re: I liked Doom 3

Nice. And dont worry people - there is a flashlight on the armour. Emergency over (though I have to say I liked it popping on and off when reloading). Still, for £20 its worth a punt. I never got round to playing the expansions so this is on my list. Also, my PC rig should be more than capable of running it on highest details, something that I could only dream of at the time.

I hated Doom 3. I have no problems with games being hard, but being hard because you can't see what's about to kill you is just plain dumb.

    Re: I liked Doom 3

Already have Doom 3,so I am probably not going to pay £20 again for it,especially since it is not that ancient.

If it were a very old game like the original Unreal, remade - that would be great IMHO!

TBH,I hope the next Unreal is a return to the roots of the series.

Agreed. Hence I used the Duct tape mod. Really enjoyable after that.

    Re: I liked Doom 3

It still looks quite good - atmospheric. Wonder how much it'll have been "remastered" - I'm playing on a 30" 1600P screen nowadays, so this could be an all new experience.... Might have to dig out FEAR as well...

    Re: I liked Doom 3

Very goood game, try playing at night with your speakers up and lights off, scared the crap out of me first time. With stufff coming out of the stiars or monsters standing in the doorway as you open them, similar to dead space

    Re: I liked Doom 3

There are some pretty decent graphics mods for Doom3 anyway, so it's a waste of money for anyone who already has the game. I never personally liked the game, thought it was quite boring, and gameplay wasn't fun compared to the originals.

    Re: I liked Doom 3

Don't know about anyone else, but I always felt that it went on for way too long, lol. I remember playing it and just wondering when it'd end, so the idea that they've added some "All new levels" is quite staggering really, but that said, I did enjoy it for the most part.

ha! ha! - yeah! that's what I thought! Or maybe it was my mince pies! I just hate that sort of game - a corridor game looking all the same wherever you went.

Painkeep! Now that's a real blast from the past! I'd forgotten all about that until you mentioned it. Was that a Quake or Quake 2 mod?
